NDP Environment and Conservation Critic George Murphy said that the Auditor General’s report included troubling points on the regulation of pesticides. In his report the Auditor General said he expected, but didn’t see, written policies on the issuance of licenses, vendor inspection and on investigations into violations and complaints.

NL NDP Environment and Conservation Critic George Murphy, MHA for St. John's East, is circulating a petition calling on the House of Assembly to ban the use of Tordon 101 for brush clearing on our roadways.

NDP Environment and Conservation Critic George Murphy (MHA, St. John’s East) says banned chemical pesticides are still on store shelves, even though they were supposed to be removed by May 1.

As residents of the province start planning for spring and summer lawn care, the NDP Environment Critic is expressing disappointment in the regulations government has introduced around cosmetic pesticides.
